Avalanche
seminar
Safety Camp in Theory and Practice
The CSA avalanche seminar focuses on the fundamentals of avalanche science. Classical avalanche science is applied in combination with a practical decision-making concept. In a relaxed atmosphere, two to three hours will be spent discussing theoretical content and avalanche strategies, as well as the avalanche situation report and behavior in the terrain.
On the second day, the focus shifts to practical deepening. Snow profiles are dug, slope gradients measured, and discussions on wind signs and avalanche sizes are held. After the course, you will perceive the mountains in a different light! You will be accompanied on both days by a certified mountain and ski guide from the CSA ski school Silvia Grillitsch.
